Activities for Members in Area 11:

AS well as the activities below organised by branches and the Area, there are online activities available through other organisations. The link below takes you to E-HORSE Equine who are running various courses and webinars online. The link is to the webinars and there are two courses, one on Bitting and one on Worming, which would be useful for anyone preparing for their C+ Test and above:

East Kent: East Kent will be hosting the following talks via Zoom. Please book on via our website: https://branches.pcuk.org/eastkent/?page_id=3318  You only need to book one space per device (i.e. if mother and daughter wish to watch on the same computer please just book once space). We look forward to you joining us. The zoom link will be emailed on the Sunday evening prior to event. Times may be subject to change for the convenience of our speaker. Thank you to Anita Head for organising this for us.

Monday 15th February: Yogi Breisner, who led the British eventing team to four successive Olympic team medals as well as five European team titles.

Monday 22nd February: Tina Russell, who competed at the Junior European Dressage Championships. 

Monday 1st March: Alice Plunkett,  former eventer and National Hunt jockey and current presenter on ITV Racing in the UK. She is the only female to have ridden at both Badminton Horse Trials and over the Grand National course at Aintree .

Rosettes to 6th place in all classes

Rosettes will be sent out following Covid-19 protocols by 2nd Class post in the 2 weeks following close of entries

Profits from this Show will be donated to supporting the welfare of horses and ponies during the current pandemic


In order to help our Pony Club Members stay fit and be ready to get the most out of their riding when activities start up again, we have set up two fitness classes at half term. These will be held online via Zoom by Harriet Chettleburgh who has her own fitness company at https://www.therightfit.co.uk/

Tuesday 16th February, 5.45-6.30pm. Ages 10-14yrs.

Thursday 18th February, 5.45-6.30pm. Ages 15yrs +

These sessions will be limited to 10 per session and are free to our Area 11 Pony Club Members. You must be a current member to take part.

AREA 11:  ART COMPETITION: Closing Date: Sunday 21st February.

In these Lockdown days, we thought it would be nice to have an Area Painting/Drawing Competition.

There is no entry fee, but rosettes will go to 6th place in each age group

Paint or draw your favourite pony, either just it’s head, full body or in action. Any medium will be ok, pastel, paint, charcoal, pencil etc, and then email your finished piece of art to: Area11@pcuk.org

Closing date Sunday 21st February

Classes are as follows:

7yrs and under
8yrs to 11yrs
11yrs to 14yrs
15yrs and over

The winners results will be posted on the Area 11 Facebook page and we will send them to the Pony Club Facebook page too.
