The Championships are designed to encourage younger or less experienced Area 12 Pony Club members to compete in Team Competitions. They are only for those members who have not competed previously at Area competitions in these disciplines.
For Eventing there are classes at five heights – 40cms, 50cms, 60cms, 70cms and 80cms. The 40 and 50cms heights are restricted to competitors who are 12 years and under.
For Show Jumping there are classes at 40cms, 50cms, 60cms and 70cms. For 2023 only, there will be a class at 80cms for those teams and individuals who have qualified for the Regional Championships. The 40cms and 50cms heights are restricted to competitors who are 12 years and under.
The emphasis is on the Team Competitions. For those Branches and Centres that do not have three or four qualified competitors, the organisers will create mixed teams which will compete on an equal basis to single Branch/Centre teams.
