Area 12 Winter Show Jumping League

Starting soon – a competitive but friendly way to encourage all Area 12 members to compete in Pony Club Branch Show Jumping Shows over the Winter.

We are announcing our Area 12 Winter Show Jumping League for the 2024-25 winter season.  The League is for all members of Area 12 Pony Club Branches competing in classes from PC40 up to PC110 and is a Points-based competition with Rosettes and Prizes at the end.

Over the winter there will be a number PC Show Jumping Competitions where League Points may be earned.   1 Point for taking part in each class entered in a qualifying Show, plus 2 Points for a double clear in each class entered, plus Placing Points from 10 Points for 1st to 1 Point for 10th.

Points will accumulate after each Show and a League Table will be published regularly on the Area 12 website.

League Shows – Others will be added

OBH (South) Pony Club – 27th October 2024 (PC40 – PC80) – BCA

Whaddon Chase Pony Club – 1st November 2024 (PC40 – PC100) – Bury Farm

Ivel Valley Pony Club – 9th November 2024 (PC30/40 – PC110) – Bury Farm

Flamstead Pony Club – 28th December 2024 (PC40 – PC110) – Bury Farm

Woodland Hunt Pony Club – 12 January 2025 (PC) – BCA

The League Winners for each class height will be presented with their Rosettes and Prizes at the Area 12 Spring Festival Show Jumping Qualifier at Bury Farm on 1st February 2025.

Full Rules:

This League is for Area 12 Pony Club Members only and they must be a current member throughout the League.League entry is automatic if you enter for any of the eligible Area 12 Winter Show Jumping League competitions in classes that are for PC40 – PC110.1 Point for taking part in each class entered in a qualifying Show, plus
2 Points for a double clear in each class entered, plus
Placing Points from 10 Points for 1st to 1 Point for 10th.Results for each Pony/Rider combination will be counted from a maximum of 2 Classes at each show. 

Note: Combinations may compete at more levels if they meet the eligibility criteria on the specific schedule, but the results will be taken from the combination’s best 2 rounds on the day.Points will be counted from all the Competitions across all Classes from PC40 – PC100 resulting in an Area 12 Winter Showjumping League Champion for each class height and Rosettes are from 1st to 10th place.Results will be those published on Pony Club Results after each Show.

Prize Giving for the Area 12 Winter Show Jumping League will take place on Sunday 1st February at the Area 12 Show Jumping Spring Festival Qualifier at Bury Farm.This is entirely separate from the Area 12 Show Jumping Championships.
