About Us and Joining

The Ashford Valley Branch was established in 1934 and is part of Pony Club Area 11.

The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding. There are more than 43,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain, belonging to either a Branch or a Centre – there are more than 350 of each of these. Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions.

Internationally The Pony Club has a membership of over 110,000 across 18 countries, making it the largest association of riders in the world. Most British equestrian medal winners at The Olympics and World Championships have been Members of The Pony Club.

Our area stretches from Brenchley across to Pluckley and from Sutton Valence down to Wittersham; we try to accommodate riders from all locations within this area.  Our eldest associate member is 24 and our youngest are 3 years old with lead rein, novice and experienced riders of all ages in between.

We are a registered charity and will try to support parents in times of hardship to meet rally or camp fees.  Please contact the DC in confidence via the contact us page if we can help you.

Parents are a key part of the Pony Club, whether you rode yourself as a child or are only interested as your child is pony mad, please get involved.    There are many ways to support your child’s pony club enjoyment, education and sportsmanship from just watching at rallies to helping at events, you can find out more about the role that parents play via this link
