LATEST NEWS – NEW TEAM SHOWUMPING SELECTION POLICY FOR 2023

 To make the process as easy, transparent and fair as possible for everyone who would like to compete and represent the club at Area and inter-branch level, we have created a new policy for team selection in 2023:

The Belvoir Hunt Branch members are very active and successful in show jumping and enjoy great fun, access to excellent facilities, coaching with top coaches and we also have a successful track record at Show Jumping in the finals at Hickstead, Burghley Horse Trials and the Pony Club Regional and National Championships.

We run a Pony Club Team competition in May (31st May 2023) for all levels  from Lead Rein and 30 – 45cm, through 60cm / 70cm / 80cm / 90cm / 1m / 1.10m.

We aim to have teams at all levels in the Pony Club Championships, and try to organise training for each Pony Club level :

PC Regional / 80 (First Round is up to 80cm , 2nd Round up to 90cm), PC Novice / 90 (First Round is up to 90cm , 2nd Round up to 1m), PC Intermediate / 100  (First Round is up to 1m , 2nd Round up to 1.10m), PC Open (First Round is up to 1.10m , 2nd Round up to 1.20m)

If you are interested in being in one of the teams, the best start is to compete at the relevant level in some of the Branch Team SJ competitions (see attachment table below) to get invaluable experience of being part of a team, doing jump offs and dealing with pressure!
