What should I wear to a rally? 

Either a shirt and pony club tie or a Bicester Pony Club top (no hoodies)

Plain dark or beige jods

Riding boots – long or short

Hairnet (if long hair)

No jewellery – especially no earrings

Strictly no bright colours or bling – stick to navy or dark

For XC and Racing – shoulders must be covered as a minimum but long sleeves are strongly recommended, strictly no fixed peak hats permitted and up to date Body Protector compulsory (and for horse – martingale or neck strap recommended)

What should I wear to a Test?

 Shirt and pony club tie or stock and stock pin

Beige or white jodhpurs

Dark or Tweed jacket with pony club badge on left lapel

Gloves

Plaited mane and tail for C+ and above

Clean well fitted tack

Plain numnah

What should I wear to a competition?

 This varies according to the competition and you should refer to the relevant Pony Club Rulebook but generally:

 

Showjumping and Dressage:

Rider

Shirt and pony club tie or stock and stock pin

Beige or white jodhpurs

Dark or Tweed jacket with pony club badge on left lapel

Gloves

Horse

Plaited mane and tail for dressage

Clean well fitted tack (check permitted bits etc in rulebook)

No boots or martingale for dressage

Plain numnah (white for dressage) a Branch logo is allowed

Cross Country & Arena Cross Country:

Rider

XC “colours” (any coloured long sleeve top, no hoodies)

Beige or white jodhpurs

Hat with no fixed peak (any colour silk)

Body protector to current standard

Number Bib (print your own number).  Numbers for our events can be printed from this template – Number bib template_1-999

No head cams permitted

Horse

Clean well fitted tack (check permitted bits etc in rulebook)

Plain numnah and Branch logo is allowed

Neckstrap is recommended
