Wow what a Regional Championships for our Blankney members!
Starting on Saturday with the Blankney Pearls finishing 2nd (23 teams) in the PC Dressage Championships: Olivia Leach, Penelope Lovett, Evie Popplewell and Abigail Squires – all riding lovely tests. However, to top it all both Olivia and Abigail won their sections to go into the coveted Ride-Off! Olivia and Heather produced a fantastic test to take the overall Championships, with Abigail a very notable 4th place.
Moving onto the Grassroots Dressage Championship, in torrential rain! Holly Benfield , Amelia Bennett, Abigail Squires and Olivia Leach finished 9th as a team with Olivia excelling once again with an individual 6th place.
Whilst the dressage team was busy dancing in the rain, Emily rode two good rounds in the PC80 showjumping. A fantastic start to the weekend: great team spirit and support from all our members and families – What makes Pony Club great!
Moving onto Sunday, it began with Abigail winning her section of the PC70 Eventing on her dressage score of
28.2. What an amazing two days for Abigail showing the hard work and commitment paid off. We didn’t finish there: Penelope carried on with her great record this summer (leader of PC70 Eventing League for Area 6) and finished 5th in her section of the PC70 Eventing. What a great summer these two have had at their first season at this level.
Well done to Amelia for her second day of competing and just missing out of a placing in the PC80 Eventing and to Eva who was in a good place before the XC but sadly not her day.
