We were lucky with the weather and the event went smoothly, organised by Dianne Finnegan with a fantastic team of volunteers.
Four teams competed in the junior competition and 6 partnerships competed in the Pairs.
Congratulations to Burton members Annabel and Oliver who rode some amazing races to take 1st place in the pairs comp and qualify for zones.
The Senior Competition did not run this year due to lack of entries which means the Burton Senior team of Annabel S, Oliver G, Ellie W, Charlotte W, and Oliver W have automatically qualified for the Zones competition.
Burton were not represented in the Junior competition and this was won by the Quorn.

What an amazing performance by our senior games team today.
9th place qualifying them for the pony club championships. Outstanding considering we lost 2 of our riders to self isolation on Thursday. Special thanks to Oliver who was only expecting to do 1 race before Thursday, to the amazing Molly who has only been to a few practices and hadn’t done the senior races till Thursday and to our Hero Beth who stepped up to be our Postmistress at the very last minute.
Team, you were all amazing.

Well done to our 3 members who competed at Area Horse Trials in very hot conditions. No frillies this time but an outstanding dressage performance from Lilly C and Helena S who lead their dressage section. Lucy A also did a very good test to be 6th after dressage and did a storming clear cross country just missing out on the prizes.
Well done all.

Congratulations to our dressage members who took part in the Area Dressage qualifier at the weekend.
Lilly C won her section and Katie N came 4th at grassroots which means they have both qualified for the Regional Championships in August. Katie L W was doing her first Novice test and came 3rd in her section.
Good luck at the Regional Championships.

A huge well done to our mounted games team. Coming 9th in the intermediate championships and 3rd in the tack and turn out at the Pony Club Championships.
A miracle considering one of the ponies was lame on arrival.
Oliver W and Rosie, once again to the rescue, stepped up to fill the space!

A huge congratulations to two of our Burton members who competed at Regional Dressage championships.
Katie and Vaughn did a superb test just missing out by 1% on the placings.
Lilly C on Golden Honey did an outstanding test to come 2nd in her arena and after rideoffs she was 3rd overall.
A brilliant achievement showing determination and dedication to their horses.
