Welcome to the Cumberland Foxhounds Pony Club
We are a friendly, active branch with members from West Cumbria, the Lake District and the Eden Valley.
Established in 1957, our branch is part of Area 2 and continues to offer children and young people the chance to learn, ride, compete, make friends and enjoy being part of Pony Club life. In 2026, we are proud to have over 40 members, and we welcome both ridden and non-ridden members.
We hold regular rallies throughout the year across a wide range of activities, including mounted games, dressage, show jumping, equitation, show preparation and more. We also run stable management rallies, helping members work towards their Pony Club badges and build confidence in caring for ponies.
Our branch is very active in Area and National competitions, with members regularly taking part across different disciplines. In 2026, we were delighted to qualify for the finals of both the Pony Club Quiz Championships and the Horse & Pony Care Championships.
Alongside rallies and training, we hold our own competitions and events throughout the year, from members’ fun days to open shows. We aim to run several open shows each year, welcoming both Pony Club members and non-members.
We also hold camps, social events and our end-of-season presentation evening, giving members plenty of opportunities to get involved, learn new skills and celebrate their achievements.
