Our Approach

Selection is fair, transparent, and based on safety, readiness, and commitment. Any capable, eligible member may be considered.

How Selection Works

Based on riding ability and safety, performance and progress, rider/pony suitability, attendance and commitment, and team balance. Musical Ride also requires teamwork and group-riding skills.

Who Decides

A committee selects teams. The Team Manager has final decision on members, combinations, roles, and substitutions. This follows Pony Club practice.

Changes After Selection

Rules allow some changes after qualification due to injury, pony suitability, safety, readiness, or team balance. Team Manager/DC decisions are final.

Conflict of Interest

Selectors with personal links step out. DC appoints impartial decision-maker.

How Parents Can Help

Encourage training attendance, keep managers informed, ensure pony readiness, support commitments, and maintain positive behaviour.

Members may request feedback. Selection discussions remain confidential.
