A horse and rider combination are tested over a course of colourful obstacles, known as fences, which can be easily knocked down if they are hit. The goal is to complete the course without getting any faults.
Intended to demonstrate the horse and rider’s courage, athletic ability, precision, speed and partnership.
Show Jumping can take place both indoors and outdoors, so is perfect to enjoy all year round. There are various levels you can jump at and you can go on to compete as an Individual or as part of a Team.
We run regular training sessions to suit all ages and abilities, from confidence building and X poles to 80cm+ and Grid Work sessions.
We have an exciting selection of experienced trainers with lots of clinics planned from pole work and grids to course jumping, so keep an eye out on the ESPC Calendar and Facebook page to find out what’s coming up.

Grid Work exercises teach a horse to be athletic, quick-thinking, accurate and confident. The exercises improve a horse’s rhythm, balance, reactions, style and technique.
Grid Work will also benefit a rider enormously. Whether an experienced rider or a complete beginner, using these exercises will provide the opportunity to practise style, position and balance while jumping a fence. A rider will quickly notice improvements in their confidence, sense of rhythm, reactions and their ability to judge distances and strides.
