We hold Training Sessions throughout the year in most activities for all age groups. Please contact the relevant organiser who will be able to answer any questions you may have and give you information on what sessions may be suitable for your child. Details of activity organisers can be found on Our Team page.
We also hold Achievement Test Training throughout the year for all age groups. Please contact Rebecca Amess for information on what training may be suitable for your child.
Check out the Calendar now for all upcoming training clinics…
We have an exciting selection of experienced trainers with lots of clinics planned so keep an eye out on the ESPC website and Facebook page to find out what’s coming up.
Mounted Games is an exhilarating team sport that combines working together with our friends and ponies in order to complete a variety of races. It is great fun for you, your pony and your team mates!
We are proud to be an inclusive, fun Branch and welcome members from 3 years old. We run events and activities purely for our younger and/or less experienced members, which focus on having fun in a relaxed environment.
Tetrathlon (TET) is a four-part competition for teams and individuals combining Cross Country riding with three unmounted phases: Swim, Run and Shoot. Competition levels progress with age.
Pony Racing is a little like horse racing but on a smaller scale. During race days riders get to weigh in, weigh out and parade around The Paddock like jockeys do before the race.
The highlight of the year for many is camp – a week-long residential camp for the seniors and shorter, non-residential camp for the junior and mini members. These are always very popular and hugely enjoyed!
Eventing is a 3-phase discipline requiring courage, determination and all-round riding ability combined with the careful and systematic training of the horse. It involves working with your pony/horse both on the flat and over jumps.
Dressage is the harmonious development of the physique and ability of the horse, making it calm, supple, loose and flexible, as well as confident, attentive and keen, thus achieving perfect understanding with its rider.
The aim is to help the rider develop confidence in their partnership with their horse/pony. Combined Training is a 2-part competition that includes a Dressage Test followed by a Showjumping round.
