Safeguarding Children in Sport

Emma, our District Commissioner (DC), is also the Club Safeguarding Lead and oversees safeguarding procedures. All committee members are safeguarding trained, and several parents have also undertaken safeguarding training.

We encourage an open and welcoming atmosphere where members feel comfortable asking questions or raising concerns with a trusted adult. Clear guidance is in place, including the use of an incident log, to ensure any concerns are recorded and managed appropriately in line with Pony Club safeguarding guidance.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and by working together we help ensure Grove Pony Club is a safe and enjoyable place for all members.
