Area 13 Show Jumping National & Regional Qualifiers

What a fantastic weekend at the Area 13 Show Jumping National and Regional Qualifiers, held over two days at Coombelands!

Saturday – Regional Championship Qualifiers

Saturday kicked off with the Regional Championship qualifying classes.

In the 70cm class, the team of Henrietta E, Chloe F, Fora-Rose W and Freya H put in some excellent performances to finish 3rd, securing their place at the Regional Championships.

Individual placings:

• 7th – Chloe F
• 9th – Freya H

In the 70+ class, Immy H claimed an impressive 1st place 🥇.

Next up were the 80cm classes, where we were delighted to field two enthusiastic teams.

HH Red Team: Kinvara B, Chloe F and Freya H
HH Blue Team: Serena T, Sam H, Immy H and Abigail D

The Red Team finished 4th and the Blue Team 5th, with both teams qualifying for the Regional Championships.

Individual placings (80cm):

• 🥇 1st – Immy H
• 🏵️ 8th – Freya H

Sunday – National Championship Qualifiers

Sunday saw the fences go up as riders tackled the 90cm, 100cm and 110cm National Championship qualifiers.

The 90cm team of Alice R, Katie D, Sam F and Athena D produced some superb rounds to finish 2nd 🥈, earning qualification for the Championships.

Individual placings:

• 7th – Sam F
• 8th – Katie D

As the temperature rose, so did the height of the jumps!

Our 100cm team of Athena D, Erin B and Catherine VR competed as a team of three and finished 3rd, booking their place at the Championships.

Individual placing:

• 10th – Catherine VR

Finally, our 110cm riders took on a challenging, up-to-height track. Five horses, ridden by four HH members, contested this tough class. Every rider dug deep and produced some excellent rounds, with the team and individual combinations all qualifying for the Championships.

The team of Athena D, Bartholomew B, Catherine VR and Erin B finished a fantastic 2nd 🥈.

• 4th – Erin B
• 5th – Athena D
• 9th – Erin B
• 10th – Bartholomew B

Congratulations to everyone who qualified for either the Regional or National Championships. You and your horses and ponies coped brilliantly with the warm weather, and your horsemanship throughout the weekend was a credit to you all.

A huge thank you goes to the organisers, volunteers, pony drivers and grooms. Events like these simply couldn’t happen without your hard work and dedication.

The HH members also stepped up brilliantly to help with volunteer roles across both days, and your support was very much appreciated by the organisers.

Finally, a special thank you to Josh (Saturday) and Pete (Sunday) for their expert course walks and for helping every horse, pony and rider head into the ring feeling prepared and confident.
