Area 13 Dressage Qualifiers – An excellent weekend for the HH

What an incredible weekend for the HH riders at the Area 13 Dressage Qualifiers!

Despite soaring temperatures, our riders and their horses and ponies produced outstanding performances throughout the weekend. It was wonderful to see every horse looking happy, relaxed and enthusiastic in the heat – a real testament to the excellent fitness, care and preparation from both riders and parents behind the scenes.

The results speak for themselves – HH has qualified teams for the Championships at every level entered, alongside numerous individual wins, placings and an impressive collection of rosettes, rugs and trophies.

Saturday – National Championship Qualifiers

Novice

We were delighted to field two teams in the Novice section, traditionally one of the toughest classes in which to qualify.

The Sapphire Team of Athena D, Jocelyn H, Immy H and Serena T delivered a fantastic performance to win the team competition by three points, comfortably securing their place at the National Championships.

Our Ruby Team of Flora-Rose W, Abigail D, Phoebe S and Freya S also rode beautifully, finishing in a very respectable 8th place.

Individual Placings

Intermediate

The Intermediate team of Alice H, Jocelyn H, Athena D and Will A produced another superb performance to finish 2nd, securing their Championship qualification on higher collective marks – proof of the consistently high quality of their riding throughout the team.

Alice H also claimed an individual qualification on her second pony with a class win.

Open

Our Open team of Alice H, Amelia M, Cath VR and Will A completed an exceptional day by taking the team title and another Championship qualification.

Alice H also secured an individual Championship ticket on her second pony with a 6th-place finish.

Sunday – Regional Championship Qualifiers

The momentum continued into Sunday as the riders were determined to maintain HH’s incredible run of success.

Our Grassroots 80 Team of Flora-Rose W, Immy H and Phoebe S produced three excellent tests to win convincingly by four points and book their place at the Regional Championships.

Sadly, we were unable to field a Foundation 70 team this year. It would be wonderful to see some of our younger members come forward next season so we can aim for a clean sweep of qualifications across every level.

A huge thank you goes to all the parents, not only for supporting and transporting their children but also for giving up their time to help the organisers throughout the weekend. Your support is hugely appreciated.

A special mention goes to Serena T, Alice H and Will A, who between them ensured HH had an individual class winner at every level—a fantastic achievement.

Finally, thank you to the Area 13 organisers, sponsors, judges, volunteers and everyone at Coombelands Equestrian for delivering such an enjoyable competition. Their last-minute decision to move the dressage onto a surface to protect the horses from the hard ground was greatly appreciated and helped ensure a safe and successful event for everyone.

Now it’s on to the National and Regional Championships…

The HH will be there in force!
