Kelsall Hill Residential Camp

This is aimed at our older members who are jumping 80cm. Places are limited. Arrive Thursday afternoon 13th April. We can access the stables from 5.00pm. Two nights accommodation, departing on Saturday late afternoon. Price to include stabling, two bales of shavings, all meals for members. It is possible we will be able to provide Hay or haylage at extra cost or you may bring your own. Two sessions of tuition on Friday and Saturday. We will cover XC, Showjumping and polework/flatwork. There may be an opportunity for lunge lessons for those working towards B Test. There will be evening lectures. Camping on Site is free but Hook-ups are chargeable. Parents will need to supervise their children overnight, it is fine to share parenting in groups but Jo and Lesley will not be responsible after organised activities are finished. There is an option to use the Farm Ride before we have access to the stables on Thursday afternoon, A good opportunity for a “leg stretch”. This will not be supervised by us and will need to be directly booked with Kelsall at a cost of £20.00. More info when you have signed up. Deposit to secure place £50.00 Cost will be £195.00 per person payable by 5th April

• These rallies are aimed at members who would like to compete at summer area competitions in dressage and eventing. • The rallies will be in a large field on grass. • The instructors for the sessions are Tessa Ryley and Fleur Field. • There will be 3 riders per instructor in each session. • If you’re interested in being part of a Meynell team at this year’s area dressage events this rally is excellent preparation. • Prior to the rally please familiarise yourselves with the Pony Club Dressage rules and the level of test you would like to compete at.

This rally is on foot but please come dressed correctly to handle a pony, boots, hats, gloves, etc! Catton Park Horse Trials - Meynell Arena Party

Meynell Pony Club have been asked if we could provide a Showjumping arena party for the BE Horse Trials at Catton Park, this year. Details/ Times - 2 hours picking up poles in the Showjumping Arena between 8:30am and 5.45pm We would need approximately groups of 4/5 children with at least two adults to be at the ring side during the showjumping phase and to put up any knocked down fences, or rebuild any that are demolished! (The coursebuilder will be on hand for that) Obviously we would like you to be dressed in Meynell Polo Shirts/sweatshirts/coats -depending on the weather!! We will come up with a rota and the more groups we can get together, the shorter the time slots will be for each group. It will be a chance to watch the professionals eventing (up to 250 horses) and learn from watching riders, course builders and course walking.
