We take Safeguarding of our members very seriously. All our committee members and instructors are DBS checked and all have attended regular Safeguarding Courses. Should you have any reasons for concern about a child within our Club, do not hesitate to speak to one of the Committee Members. Our appointed Child Protection Officer is Jill Williamson and her details can be found on the Contact List. Any information given will be treated with the strictest confidence.
URGENT PLEASE NOTE AND TAKE ACTION IF NECESSARY
This is a message from the MPC committee to our parents to relay an important finding that some of you may not be aware of.
Social media is an important part of our children’s lives and unfortunately this is becoming more evident in the younger members despite the age restriction recommendations by the social media apps terms and conditions. As a Pony Club we have no control over our members internet activities, this is where responsible parenting is required.
Social media use and phones are part of normal daily life for all of us, however as a committee we are aware that it is near on impossible to police your child’s use but the comments that are placed via some apps are proving to be inappropriate, on occasions malicious but definitely comments that parents would find unacceptable. We would advise all our parents to discuss this with your child, regardless of their age.
I think that you will agree with the committees view on zero tolerance towards bullying within our Pony Club branch whether it take the form of verbal, physical or cyber. We just want you all to be safe.
