Mini & Junior/Grassroots Eventing  – training & competing from 50cm – 80cm Billa Duff

Senior Eventing  Julia

UPCOMING COMPS- Refer to Whats on page and below for links.

Eventing combines dressage, show jumping and cross-country. Members should attend the General Working Rallies to practice flatwork and jumping as well as discipline specific training to improve their riding.

We have a thriving mini and junior group of members taking part in training and competitions regularly and these young riders feed into our senior teams.

Competitions are held throughout the spring, summer and autumn. Some members will be working towards selection for the Area & Grassroots Eventing Teams; others towards other eventing competitions and Hunter Trails or just for fun and to improve riding.

In winter there are regular Arena Eventing competitions locally at Lincomb Equestrian & Summerhouse and a little further afield at Wickstead Horseplay to name but three.

For younger members dressage tests may be called and lead rein/assisted riders are allowed at many competitions for all phases.

***  Please keep looking out for dates of dressage training organised by Rachel Barrett  and show jumping training organised by Emma Scholes & Tara McMaster as well as XC or Arena Eventing sessions organised by Billa Duff & Julia Annable. ***

Please note that members will be alerted via the NHHPC Facebook page to rallies and training that is coming up and spaces can go quickly. So get ahead and book in advance as directed when the newsletters come out via e-mail if you don’t use the NHHPC Facebook page.

You will need to meet the eligibility criteria for Area Eventing in order to be considered for entry either as an individual or as part of a team.
