  • MUSICAL RIDE – We are looking to resurrect the Musical Ride team. This is open to any member of any ability (including lead rein) who would be interested in joining a team to perform a drill ride at the Pony Club Championships at Cholmondeley on a day between 16-20 August (actual date tbc – on previous timetables likely to be 19 or 20). Previous teams have had great fun both practicing for and performing at the Championships and all we ask is that your pony/horse is not known to kick. Practice sessions are normally 1½ hours held over 6-8 days during the spring/summer. We keep training costs to a minimum £15 normally covers all training and we throw in drinks and biscuits . The only other expense would be the costumes for whatever theme is decided upon. We have had much success over recent years and many of the children who started with it continued year after year. Also the fact that they are riding as a team with friends seems to lead to improved confidence in any that maybe are a little nervous.  So if you have done it before, or never done it before but would like to give it a go, then please let Emma Waland (emwal93@hotmail.com) or Fiona Waland (fiona.nspc@gmail.com) know and if there is enough interest we will try and organise the first session in April (some of our previous routines are on Youtube)

  • EXCITING NEWS!!! We are pleased to announce that Senior Camp 2019 will be held at Berriewood from Monday 22 July to Friday 26 July. The form is now available to book a place. We are all really excited as the facilities we have are amazing. We have exclusive use of the cross country course during the day (each ride will have two sessions), 2 surfaces along with dressage and show jumping on grass. Everyone will be sleeping in large bell tents which we will be providing (split as usual into younger and older sections). As usual, the cost of camp will include food, tuition, show entry, evening fun and hay and straw for horses. The only money that the campers will need during the week is for tuck. Places will be limited as will stables, both being allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. For those horses/ponies without a stable, there will be individual turnout in small, fenced paddocks. The cost of camp for 2019 is £300, a percentage of which is subsidised by the Branch. If you want your child to come to camp, the committee encourages you to complete the form and send a £100 deposit as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  Any questions, please contact either Ann or Lucy.  Initial Deposit Form Camp 2019 (word version)  Initial Deposit Form – Camp 2019 (pdf version)
