What is a Rally? - North Shropshire Hunt

Everything you need to know

Rallies are group lessons, which cover different aspects of riding and pony care and all levels. The price charged for each rally covers the cost of tuition and venue for that rally.

The list of rallies and how to enter them is all on the Rally Booking page and you can find the time your child is riding here.

By sharing lessons, Pony Club members can access first-class tuition at reasonable prices. At some rallies members work on a specific discipline such as dressage or show jumping. Working Rallies focus on improving your position and riding and can involve working on the flat, with poles or with jumping.

Rallies are very social events, especially those lasting all day in the summer, where like-minded youngsters forge lasting friendships. Rallies are open to all ages and abilities unless specified otherwise.

How we group the Rides at rallies

The key to how we put rides together is the information you give when booking.  From this we try our best to group children according to their riding ability, age of rider and pony and experience,  Of course the ability of the horse or pony they are riding is also a major factor, so putting rides together is no easy task at times.

On the Reply Slip we endeavour to tell you how long each session will be but this depends on the number of members in each ride.
Refund Policy  The committee has agreed that once a rally is paid for, a refund will be given for whatever reason up to 2 weeks prior to the rally date. Within 2 weeks of the rally a refund will only be given if the rally is full and the space can be filled.
