Compete for your Branch

Area Competitions happen all over the country and are qualifying events for the main Pony Club Championships and Regional Championships.

There is a competition held in each of the 19 Pony Club Areas (we are in Area 7) and there are various levels to compete at based on ability and eligibility.

It is possible to qualify both in teams and as individuals in the majority of disciplines.

The Area Expression of Interest form (above) is to be completed by anyone whose son or daughter is interested in competing in this summer’s competitions (Dressage, SJ, Eventing or Tetrathlon). The purpose of this form is to give Helen and I an idea of who is interested and also for me to check the vaccination record of your horses so that if there are any discrepancies there is time to rectify these. Please email a copy of the form along with the vaccination record back to when the horse received it’s first course of 3 vaccinations (if you are unsure, just send the whole vaccination record) by 17th MayPlease only email to the email address listed on the form, Area.comps.application@gmail.com this is important so that Helen and I can both access the forms.

This year’s Rule Changes are below but you can also check the handbook for each discipline here.

It is your responsibility to check if you think that your child/horse may not be eligible – speak to me or Helen and we’ll confirm. Don’t forget that you can enter 2 consecutive levels for example, SJ at 80cm and 90cm, dressage at PC70 and PC80 but you can only do one level of eventing. If you need more advice please ask – Helen and I will be happy to chat about these competitions and whether we feel that your son/daughter is ready to compete at the level you are considering.

You must keep the dates of the appropriate Championships free in case you qualify – PC Champs for PC90 upwards 14 Aug – 22 Aug (we could advise which part of this period your child’s classes might be) and Regional Champs for PC70 & PC80 29 to 31 August.

JCB Championships will be held 14th – 22nd August 2026 at Offchurch Bury in Warwickshire, CV33 9AW What3words: served.overheat.sprouts

The Regional Championships will be held from Saturday 29th to Monday 31st  August at Kelsall.
