Select branch membership and our branch name is Old Berkeley Hunt South.

OBH South branch was founded in 1959 and covers the South Buckinghamshire and West Middlesex areas.  We have around 40 members ranging from 4 years up to our senior members in their 20’s.

We usually hold 2 rallies per month. These are usually flatwork or jumping but also include mounted games, cross country and polocrosse. You will usually be put into a group for a session of about an hour. Dates for these are posted under the calendar section of the website, along with details of venue, cost, how to enter each rally and closing date. We also send out email reminders.

Your first rally will be an assessment to see at what stage you and your pony are, and then for future rallies we will try to place members in groups of similar abilities.

We also run Rally Plus sessions for more experienced riders and Training sessions for team members.

Efficiency Tests and Progressive Tests
All members have the opportunity to work towards internationally recognised efficiency tests and progressive tests which test riding and stable management skills. Pony Club Efficiency Tests Info

All our branch clothing and merchandise can be ordered by contacting our merchandise manager (See Contacts tab).

Summer Camp
During the summer holidays we hold a residential camp for members 11 years and over, and a junior camp which is non residential for younger members. We aim to make this an action packed time combining instruction across all 3 disciplines, stable management, demonstrations, plenty of evening activities but most of all, lots of fun! (See Camp tab)

We take part in a number of team competitions during the year across all disciplines, from grass roots level through to being able to compete at the National Championships.

Branch Shows
Throughout the year we hold several Open shows; a Hunter Trial at Rosehill in May and our Halloween Show at BCA in October, as well as a mini ODE in September. We appreciate as much support from our members as possible to help run these as we use the proceeds to offer subsidised training.

Friday Night Club
From Spring through to Autumn we run a bi-weekly session from 6pm  which covers stable management areas for Efficiency Tests and Achievement Badges as well as fun activities.
