Welcome to the Old Surrey and Burstow Hunt Branch of the Pony Club. This branch first began in 1930 and was one of the founding branches of the Pony Club.

We are an active branch with around 100 members. To find out more about our branch and how to join please contact us at

We offer the following disciplines:

You are welcome to attend the rallies for each discipline, even if you have never done them before. The organiser will be able to explain about the discipline and tell you what to do.

We have an annual calendar of activities, which is published on our website. You need to book in for the activity you would like to take part in, usually using the ‘Online Rally Bookings’ page of the website, unless instructed otherwise.

There are always lots of branch activities planned in school holidays, including ‘general rallies’, which are instructional group lessons. Our Chief Instructor Michaela Tomlinson will make sure you are in a group to match your ability.

The correct dress at rallies is:

  • Riding hat
  • Long sleeved white or pale blue shirt
  • Pony Club tie
  • Navy OS&B sweatshirt, or long sleeved branch polo shirt (available to buy from Sheila Fennings)
  • Tan, cream, or dark jodhpurs
  • Brown/black jodhpur boots, or long boots

Please tie long hair back, and if needed wear a hair net to keep it tidy.
