Pony Club isn’t just about riding — it’s about learning all aspects of horse care, safety, and stable management in a fun, hands-on way. Achievement Badges and on-foot rallies are fantastic opportunities for members to build knowledge, earn rewards, and grow their confidence — even without being in the saddle.

Dismounted (on foot) rallies with Pony Club are super fun and educational events where members participate in activities without riding. Instead of being on horseback, these rallies focus on horsemanship knowledge, stable management, team-building, and equine care. They’re a big part of how Pony Club teaches well-rounded equestrian skills.
Members can study for achievement badges ranging from mucking out to road safety, pet sense to camping. Once members reach the required standard they earn a badge. When 21 achievement badges or 14 mini badges are earned, special gold awards are presented at our annual presentation evening.
We run regular on foot rallies at Poynton Methodist Hall which are a lovely way to complete badge work and make new friends. Many friendships are made during our on foot rallies and older members often come along to help and begin their volunteering and coaching experience. Keep an eye on the calendar for the next session.
