Mounted Rallies

Pony Club mounted rallies are one of the core activities offered to members and are a vital part of the Pony Club experience. These rallies are structured training sessions that involve both riding and horse care, helping members develop their skills in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

Working or Mounted Rallies are the “backbone of the Pony Club” and a really fun way for members to learn, ride and bond as a club.

These rallies are a great opportunity for members to improve their skills under the guidance of qualified instructors, members ride in small group lessons based on age, ability, and experience. Lessons cover flatwork, jumping, games, or even cross-country—depending on the focus of the rally and the facilities available. Sessions are generally one hour and are designed to be great fun and improve a wide range of skills.

The learning activities are based on Pony Club Tests and Scales of Training. This framework inspires our members, boosts confidence, and enables the development of skills, expertise, and the pursuit of excellence.

Whether you’re a new member or have been riding for years, mounted rallies are a fantastic way to grow your confidence, make friends, and deepen your knowledge in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Mounted rallies are held at Dean Valley Equestrian Centre (Church Ln, Woodford, Stockport SK7 1RQ) and and can be booked through Horse Events, keep an eye on the calendar for the next sessions.
