Windsor Tetrathlon
Every year 3 Juniors from each region are invited to compete at Royal Windsor Horse Show in the Pony Club Tetrathlon competition.
This year Hettie along with team mates Grace (Essex & Suffolk) and Archie (Newmarket & Thurlow) were selected to represent East of England.
This the only Tetrathlon competition where girls and boys are in the same section. This certainly makes it extra tough for the girls in the run phase.
It was a brilliant weekend and all 3 of them put in excellent performances, showed true grit and excellent team spirit.
Hettie has been working hard on her swimming and running whilst at school and the practise is starting to off with a PB swim & run.
It was an absolute privilege to jump in the Frogmore arena over a testing course which saw just one person go clear within the time. They all jumped really well with a pesky pole and some time each. Of course the compulsory ‘by the river’ photo was a must!
They were thrilled to be placed 6th and Hettie was the highest placed team member 11th.
A huge thank you to the fabulous East of England Tet team for a great weekend (Catherine, Ian & Katie plus all the families), to Pony Club Tetrathlon for putting on an great event, to RWHS for letting us compete there, to the huge number of fabulous friends and family who came to cheer them on & of course to the fab ponies!
A huge well done to the winners for putting in some awe inspiring performances 💪!
