Welcome to The Puckeridge Hunt Pony Club.
We are a medium size club and we would love to hear from you if you want to come and give things a try.
We provide a full programme of activities for all abilities throughout the year including: Mounted and dismounted rallies (including themed rallies for Easter, Halloween and Christmas), Competitions, Tests and achievement badges and our yearly Brent Pelham Show.
Our branch is run by a Committee of members’ parents and we are entirely dependent on volunteers, we rely on the support of our members parents/careers to support us in the successful running of the Club.
One of the highlights in our calendar is Summer Camp which we hold for two age groups:
– Mini camp for 7-10 year olds
– Intermediate/Senior Camp for the over 11s.
We don’t mind people joining in order to attend Camp (the Camps are great fun!) but we do need to see you beforehand and check that we know the capability of you and your pony so we can plan your group at the Camp.
You can chose any rally or activity to join in as your Taster Day, as long as Sarah, our rally secretary is happy it is suitable!
All members are encouraged to aim for the various Pony Club tests and badges, as well as our very successful Inter-Branch and Area Teams.
The Achievement badge sessions are informal teaching sessions designed to cover a given topic eg mucking out, grooming, points of the pony etc. The children are awarded a badge at the end of the session (a bit like a swimming badge) which they can then sew onto the arm of their PC sweatshirt.

We also have a Facebook Page for Members with lots of photos and news. (It’s a group page so when you are on the page, you need to press ”Join Group” to apply to join – you will then automatically receive any updates.)
