Area 8 Tetrathlon

Area 8 Tetrathlon

Area 8 Tetrathlon
This as always was an epic weekend of Tetrathlon competition very kindly hosted by Tim & Tessa Vestey and the N&TPC. We are all very grateful to the huge number of amazing people who come and volunteer to help. And it was brilliant seeing some fabulous Tet families who just keep on giving. Thank you everyone.
Saturday- Shoot, Swim, Run
Beanie Boys – Hugo, Callum & Rufus
All the boys did a good bean bag throw with Hugo getting the prize for best throw. They swam well and ran like troopers in the pouring rain.
Tadpole boys – Bertie & Leo
A great day for Leo as it was his first Tetrathlon and an especially good run. Bertie super proud of his efforts with a win in the shoot and the swim narrowly beaten in the run.
Junior Girls – Hettie & Sophie
As is often the case it was a great start and a win in the shoot for Sophie with 900 and Hettie on 880. Both girls swam well and were significantly better than last year despite it not being their favourite bit. The epic Horseheath run route certainly meant sure the girls had to work hard to get their very good times with Hettie hot on the heels of the front runners with 6:05 & Sophie 6:38.
Saturday night – After much contemplating about the horrid forecast a few hard cores BBQ’ed and picnicked with Tet friends which basically just involves lots of rose, lots of running around with friends having a ball & not a lot of sleep!!
Sunday – Cross country day
Bertie first up with a sweet but very steady round with just a silly stop on Albie. Leo and his lovely pony were brilliant with just a couple of mistakes.
Rufus was going brilliantly until a little fall so we all wish him a speedy recovery.
Callum & Hugo both did lovely rounds and should be very proud of themselves and the lovely ponies.
Hettie & Sophie flew round the Junior 90 course and had a brilliant time. Ponies were very glad of the recent rain.
So for the results:
Beanie Boys –
4th Hugo
6th Callum
7th Rufus
Team 4th
Tadpole boys
1st Bertie
2nd Leo

Both the girls have qualified for the PC Tet Champs at Offchurch again this year!
A huge well done to the amazing parents for taking part in the endurance effort that is Tet, for the children for trying their best and for being great fun, great sports, being great ambassadors for PHPC and for being very polite & thanks to the fab ponies for just being fab.
A big shout out to Libby Railton who jump judged for us. Thank you!
PHPC now have members representing them for Dressage, SJ, Eventing & Tet – 🙌 !!
