Regional Champs at Aston le Walls

Back from a super weekend for the 70cm eventing team for the regional champs at Aston le walls. After arriving on Saturday with the ponys in temporary stables for the night we embarked on a very soggy course walk! Thank fully the sun was shining for us in the morning with an early start! Dressage first and all 3 did lovely neat tests with some super marks. Next the showjumping and 2 fabulous clears from Poppy L and Poppy A and just 1 very unlucky pole from Emily. Cross country they were on fire 🔥 Poppy and squishy so much so, they smashed out a super clear round but picked up 6 time faults for going too fast 💨 Poppy and Charlie had a fab clear round just 4 seconds off optimum time and Emily and Ollie had just 1 stop at a scary house, but then went to fly the rest of the round faultlessly. A cracking weekend with lots learnt. A big thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who was involved in the running of this years pony club champs event. Thank you to Amanda Malins for coming, your support, guidance and help was very much needed and appreciated ❤️ Special shout out to Emily and Ollie, Ollie is 25 years old and wow what a star ⭐ a super event and performance to retire on, Emily you did him proud 😊 Poppy and Charlie finishing on their dressage score with a podium finish 👌 Poppy and squishy your cross country 💨! but a good problem to have and you will be back just a tad slower 🤣❤️ Belles and Taco …we missed you lots ! But we look forward to your return 💪 Millie Ashton, I know your my daughter! But I have to say you were a top whole team groom and brought team cheer and amusement! (I was grateful for that 🤣) Results Team 6th place 👌 Poppy and Squishy 8th Emily and Ollie. 12th Poppy and Charlie 3rd 🥉
