Senior Camp 2020

After all the doubts and logistical problems, we were luckily able to run a non-residential Senior Camp this year, and what a success it proved to be. The new venue, Vale View Equestrian Centre, was amazing, and our members had great times over the huge variety and types of jumps.

Absolutely huge thanks to Laura – for all the efforts she put into the organisation, and thanks to the instructors and those who helped.

Mini Camp 2020

Mini Camp proved to be as happy and successful as Junior Camp and we thank Natalie and her team for the superb organisation. As there were only 2 or 3 members in each ride, half a day of intensive riding was enough for our younger members, who all went round the XC course, jumping some of the fences.

Thanks to all of you who came, looking so smart; thanks to the instructors and parents for abiding by the covid rules.

Junior Camp 2020

Huge congratulations to Natalie for her first running of Junior Camp under the current restrictive conditions. Everything was different this year at our new venue – the Quorn Hunt Kennels, where our members had 3 days of instruction and fun. There was the first part of our new XC course to enjoy, an obstacle course to replace games which we could not do, a hack round the local bridle path and neighbouring farm, and our usual selection of  show jumps , arenas etc.

Thanks go to the instructors, all the people who helped set up, the Quorn Hunt who kindly supplied hunt horses for instructors to ride on the hack, and big thanks to the parents for abiding by the covid rules.

Next year we will have more XC jumps, and hopefully we will be able to run camps as normal, and be able to welcome all family members to come and watch.

Finally, thank you to our members who all seemed to have an enjoyable camp, and it was great to see the improvements and growth in confidence over the 3 days.

JUNIOR CAMP (3 days £80)

Monday 27 to Wednesday 29 July 2020 (to be held in Quorn Hunt back fields)

MINI CAMP (3 half days in small groups £50)

Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 August 2020 (am or pm sessions) (to be held in Quorn Hunt back fields)

Sunday 9 to Friday 14 August 2020

Vale View Equestrian Centre, Old Dalby

The facilities at Vale View are second to none and with 2 spacious indoor arenas, several outdoor arenas and their all-weather Arena Eventing course with heights and challenges to suit everyone we will be more than entertained during our stay.

Horses will be staying overnight in lovely temporary stables but, this year, it will not be residential so children will not be staying overnight.
