TRIATHLON AND TETRATHLON EXPLAINED

Triathlon comprises three phases: Shooting, Swimming and Running

Tetrathlon comprises four phases: Shooting, Swimming, Running and Cross Country riding

Each phase is not a race against other competitors. Points are individually scored based on individual performance (see Tetrathlon rulebook for scoring systems). There are various levels to compete in as part of a team of 3 or 4 (best 3 scores count) and/or as an individual.

Intermediate and Open competitions are open to all members aged 25 or under on 1 Jan

Junior competitions are open to members aged 14 or under on 1 Jan

Minimus competitions are for members aged 11 and under but no member under the age of 8 on the day of the competition is allowed to shoot. For under 8 years, competitions often include a bean bag throwing phase instead of shooting.
