As part of Health & Safety we need to keep a record of any falls occurring at rallies and other events. We have a simple form to do this. Anyone can record an incident and just in case your coach forgets please feel free to record any incidents you see on the form. Events wont be double counted so don’t feel shy at filling a form in.
We are a friendly branch with around 100 members aged between 3 and 25. If you own or can borrow a pony we offer dressage, show jumping, eventing, mounted games, arena eventing, horse & pony care. We have a pony racing member and a thriving group of mini riders on and just off lead rein. There are regular training where members can learn jumping and flatwork in small groups. We run Points Shows in April, May June and July along with Dressage Shows in April, May and June. There are two summer camps each year – a residential camp for seniors (11 years and older) at Somerford Park and a parent attended residential camp for juniors at Warren Farm Formby. If you don’t own or loan a pony you can still join as a nonriding member and attend our Indoor Rallies and compete in Horse and Pony care training and competition. Older members, past members, parents and the branch committee all volunteer to support the club. Everyone is encouraged to learn as much as possible about pony care and welfare whilst having fun with their friends.
