THE BIG EASTER RALLY 25th MARCH

we had a great turnout of 23 members at our rally at the beginning of the Easter holidays at Radfords Equestrian. Each group did a session of flatwork in the Indoor school, a session in the main outdoor, using the Arena Eventing course and an unmounted session in the pavilion learning a variety of horse care and riding topics. It was a dry day luckily, if a little chilly and everyone kept warm with hot drinks, Easter Eggs and hot cross buns. Many thanks to our fabulous coaches, Sally Jackson, Emily Gresty and Myfi Powell Hines.

WINTER LEAGUE TRIATHLON FINALS 24th MARCH

Congratulations to Brodie who travelled to Grantham, Lincs to represent us in these national finals, the second year he has done this. He was competing against the top 10 and 11 year old boys from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He started very strongly with a perfect shoot score of 1000, incredibly his 30th consecutive perfect score. This won him the highly coveted prize for Best Shot. He followed this with a solid run and swim , finishing an amazing 7th overall out the forty five finalists. He was also part of a successful Area 5 team that took 7th place. Well done to you all.

MOUNTED GAMES FRIENDLY 16th MARCH

A squad of Tanatsiders headed off to take part in a friendly Mounted Games Competition, organised by Cheshire Hunt South at Higher Farm, Byley, Cheshire. Members had been practising hard in the winter months at Rhos Farm, with Steph Roscoe and Clare Dawson and all their efforts paid off. The Junior team went and won, a super achievement! The Senior team ended their first session in second , but with a few unlucky moments in the second session, ended in fourth place in a very close competition. An exciting and enjoyable day for all.

WINTER LEAGUE FINALS 7th MARCH

A hardy contingent of Tanatsiders set off to take part in the Area 5 Winter League Finals, held at Northop College. They reaped the rewards with some terrific results across all the classes. Well done to everyone and a huge thank you to all the parents who put in so much time and effort to take part in these team competitions. A big round of applause to members Clara, Ada, Lottie, Mabel, Evie, Tristan, Douglas, Wilf and Maurice.

BARRIER HEALTH SPRING FESTIVAL FINALS 25th FEBRUARY

Well done to Wilf and Maurice Ibison who travelled to the PC Spring Festival Championships at Arena UK, for the 90cm Show Jumping Final. It was a huge class of over 100, all of whom had qualified from their area competitions. They both did superbly, holding their own in a very strong competition, finishing with just 4 faults apiece. Great experience for both boys.

TEST SUCCESS 11th FEBRUARY

Congratulations to all our members who passed their D+ Efficiency held at the Rhos recently. Emily, Evie, Douglas, Maurice and Wilf were put through their paces by PC assessor, Patsy Pyke. They all coped with rather fresh ponies in the chilly wind and kept their cool to show themselves at their best, with a 100% pass rate. Many thanks to Patsy who took time to encourage them tall to shine.

AREA WINTER LEAGUE 4th FEBRUARY

Well done to all our members who headed off to Kelsall on February 4th for the Area 5 Arena Eventing Qualifier for the Barrier Health Spring Festival. Everyone had a great time and a big shout out to to these members on their placings:
Mabel 8th and 15th in the 70 cm
Maurice 15th in 90 cm
Wilf 4th in 90cm
