EVENTING & ARENA EVENTING

Cross Country Rallies and Training events take place throughout the year. During the summer months we use venues such as Lincombe and Berriewood taking advantage of their wonderful facilities which have a great range of cross country obsticles from mini courses up to full up BE tracks. During winter months we switch to Arena Eventing which can be a great place to start for the novice rider as well as providing winter training for the more seasoned competitor.

There are opportunities to compete in both eventing and arena eventing at Regional and National levels from 70cm+ and there are also lots of local events that cater for competitors for 40cm+

What is Eventing?

Eventing is made up of three phases Dressage, Show Jumping & Cross Country. Through the winter months members can take part in Arena Eventing.

How Do I Get Involved?

Pony Club Eventing Competitions are organised at a number of different levels:

  • Branch/Centre Competitions – Friendly competitions organised by Branches or Centres for their own Members and Members of the surrounding Branches & Centres.
  • Area Competitions – Open to all Members within the Pony Club Area, including qualifying competitions for the Championships and Regional Championships.
  • Championships – Qualifying Teams and Individuals from every Area compete to decide the National Eventing Champions.
  • Arena Eventing – throughout the winter months, Members can take part in Arena Eventing competitions to qualify for the Barrier Animal Health Spring Festival.

More information about Eventing along with details of the eventing Dressage tests and key competitions & events can be found here EVENTING on the Pony Club Website.

Our 80cm team of  Izzy Williams, Millie-Jane Gardner & Katie Sands had an awesome time on the last day at Regional Champs.
All the girls rode lovely dressage tests achieving very respectable scores and putting them in contention for a top 10 team finish. Only taking one pole in the show jumping between them over a very big and technical course they were still on target. The girls finished on three amazing clear rounds over the XC bringing home TEAM 8th and a fabulous individual 4th for Izzy & Mac.
Amazing work girls, we are very proud of you xx
