Pony Club Pony Racing competitions are a way for racing fans to get a taste of what real horse racing is like on a smaller scale!
Champion Headwear Pony Club Race Days are run up and down the country. You must be a Pony Club Member and be between the ages of 10 and 15 years old (on 1st January) and have a pony 14.2hh (148cm) and under. All the riders wear silks (or your cross country colours), weigh in, weigh out and parade in the paddock before the race!
There are Novices races for beginners right through to Open races for the more experienced. Click here to find dates.

I’m getting in touch to share an update, our joint training days with the Pony Racing Authority (PRA) have been in planning and are due to start taking place this month.
For both organisations these training days provide an opportunity for members to develop skills and knowledge of the sport but also offer a route to meeting sports eligibility criteria ready for members to see pony racing resume.
In the attached you’ll see the dates and venues which the days are due to take place on and booking can be made via the PRA website here: https://www.ponyracingauthority.co.uk/get-racing/trainings-days/
We’ve worked together to ensure that these days are Covid Compliant which has seen modifications to how the days run, group sizes, activities and additional measures put in place to ensure we can provide a Covid Secure environment for attendees.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Many thanks
