!! ESSENTIAL NEW INFORMATION FOR RALLY ATTENDANCE !!

Passports and Equine Flu Vaccinations

A reminder that any horse or pony attending a Pony Club activity must be accompanied by their passport. The first and second Equine Flu vaccination injections must have been given and, if needed, correct subsequent 12-month booster injections.

EHV-1
Following recent guidance from the British Equestrian Federation, all Pony Club members will need to self-certify with the organiser of a Pony Club activity 24 hours before you attend any rally.

SELF CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED 24 hours before the rally!

THIS IS DONE VERY SIMPLY BY COMPLETING THE ATTACHED FORM:

You will be confirming the following, that your horse or pony shows no signs of:
• recent cough of unknown cause
• recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
• enlarged lymph nodes
• fever (>38.5˚C)
• recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause • diarrhoea

In addition, you will also be self certifying the horse or pony:
• is not under current investigation for EHV infection.
• has not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV.
• has been resident in the UK for the last 28 days. If the horse or pony shows any of these clinical signs on the day of the activity it must not travel nor attend the training or competition.

COVID: Please ensue that you or anyone in your party have not within the last 14 days;
• Tested positive or am presumptively positive with the Coronavirus or been identified as a potential carrier.
• Experienced any symptoms commonly associated with the Coronavirus.
• Been in any location designated as a risk by the Government or Public Health England.
• Been in direct contact with or in the immediate vicinity of any person been identified as a carrier or potential carrier of the Coronavirus

Thank you so much to everyone for your cooperation on this.
We are very sorry, but anyone who does not complete the self certification prior to attending the rally, will not be able to ride, so please do set up reminders in your calendars to do this 24 hours before each rally that your child is booked onto and bring the completed form with you.

8 Belvoir members celebrated C+ success !

We are very proud of our members who recently passed the very tough C+ level of the Pony Club efficiency test . The test is conducted by two external examiners and the riders are required to have a very high level of knowledge with regards to the care and management of their horse or pony as well as a riding element, in which they must display both practical riding skills to a high level and also be able to explain and show understanding of their riding. We are delighted that eight members of our Pony Club (aged from 13-17) passed their C+ exam which took place over 3 hours at the end of October.

Congratulations to Hope, Amelie, Annabel, Kitty, Poppy, Ella W, Evie and Ella M!
