Belvoir PC Buckminster Park ODE 2026: 70 – 100+

Pony Club rider competing in dressage at Buckminster ParkOrganised by the Belvoir Branch of The Pony Club, by kind permission of the Buckminster Estate, in aid of the Air Ambulance. Cross-country courses are built to British Eventing standard by Guy Herbert on established parkland with excellent going. Run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2026, with BD dressage judges, a BS course builder and judge, and BE scoring, control and start teams. This event hosts the Area 6 Tetrathlon XC phase, and is a qualifier at 80, 90 and 100cm for the Horse Events National Unaffiliated SEG & Young Horse Eventing Championships 2027. Medical cover is included in the entry cost.

Classes

Each height runs a Pony Club members’ section and an Open section (welcoming non-members). Horses and ponies may compete only once across the weekend.

70cm — PC70 Foundation Test 2026
•  1A: PC70 – PC Members
•  1B: Open 70 – open to all

80cm — PC80 Grassroots Test 2026
•  2A: PC80 – PC Members
•  2B: Open 80 – open to all

90cm — PC90 Eventing Test 2026
•  3A: PC90 – PC Members
•  3B: Open 90 – open to all

100cm — PC100 Eventing Test 2026
•  4A: PC100 – PC Members
•  4B: Open 100 – open to all

100+ — Chairman’s Cup Test 2026
•  5A: PC Chairman’s Cup – PC Members
•  5B: Open 100+ – open to all

Entry Fees

One fee covers all classes up to 100cm:

•  £95 standard entry
•  £90 for Pony Club members
•  £85 for Belvoir PC members

Plus a non-refundable booking fee (charged by Horse Events, shown per class online). Late entries may be accepted if space allows, for an additional charge.

Refunds & Changes

•  Refund less a £15 admin fee up to the withdrawal date (7 July)
•  After that, a refund is only given if your place is filled from the wait list
•  Horse and rider substitutions after closing carry a £5 charge via the substitutions form (horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse-substitutions-form)

Numbers & Times

•  Start times go live on ponyclubresults.co.uk on Thursday 16 July by 7pm
•  Bring BE-style number bibs with your number printed front and back at 100% scale (print at home from the link on your name)
•  Course open for inspection Friday 17 July, 2–8pm, or walk with care on the day

Dress & Safety

•  All hats must carry a current Pink PC / BE / BRC tag (tagging available at the information point)
•  A BETA Level 3 (2018) body protector is required for cross-country, with shoulders covered as a minimum
•  Air jackets, if worn for XC, must go over a body protector
•  Spurs only for PC members who have passed C Plus or the Spurs Test (yellow hat tag from your DC)

Vaccinations

•  Valid passport and vaccination record required on site for every horse and pony
•  Flu booster within the last 12 months, but not within 7 days of the competition
•  Spot checks may apply; non-compliance can mean elimination from the site

On Site

•  Stopwatches are not permitted in PC70 or PC80 (allowed in all other classes)
•  Body-worn cameras or receivers are not allowed while competing
•  A farrier is on site and vet contacts are at the secretary — all services paid for by the competitor
•  Dogs must be on short leads at all times; this is a working sporting and grazing estate

Tetrathlon (Area 6)

A separate Tetrathlon schedule is on horse-events.co.uk, with entries also welcome from PC members outside Area 6. You may be able to use an ODE cross-country score for the Tet on one horse — email the organiser to check availability before entering, and note it in the special requests box.

Prizes

•  Prizes in kind to 3rd place in each section
•  Rosettes to 8th place
•  Best Belvoir and Best Dressage rosettes (must complete to be eligible)
