Berkeley Hunt Branch was established in 1930 and covers the vale of Berkeley

The Pony Club provides children and young people with the opportunity to develop a lifelong love of horses through fun, friendship, horsemanship and sport.

We have 143 members in our branch and Membership is open to everyone from our Very Mini 2 year olds to our Seniors up to the age of 25. Like our Facebook Page to keep up to date with latest news and activities we offer.

We support every individual to reach their goals and we celebrate success and learn to lose with grace. Our members can attend mounted and dismounted training in all matters relating to horsemanship and the horse. As a Pony Club member you can work towards our range of Achievement Badges, Mini Achievement Badges and Competition Badges.

We support training for our Senior members through the BHS recognised Young Instructor training scheme where members can train to become Riding Instructors and volunteering through the YELA (Young Equestrian Leader Awards). There is also a huge range of non-riding competitions are also available such as the National Quiz, Winter Triathlon and Blue Cross Care.

You will improve your riding and horse care skills by working up through The Pony Club Efficiency Tests. As a member you can represent your Club in local, regional and national competitions, including the national Pony Club Championships.
