Competing in Eventing gives Pony Club members and their ponies the opportunity to train to develop an all-round partnership and skills for dressage, show jumping and cross country riding. It is a fantastic day out and the best bit is, if one phase isn’t your best another can turn the tables for you.

Competitions
Pony Club Eventing competitions are generally run at:
Minis (70-75cms), Grassroots (80-85cms), Novice (09-95cms), Intermediate (100-105cms) and Open (110-115cms).
Each summer Area 9 runs qualify Eventing competitions for Regional and National Championships.
- A grassroots competition where qualifying teams and individuals get to compete in the Regional Pony Club Championships in the late summer.
- The Area Novice, Intermediate and Open competition where qualifying teams and competitors get to compete in the National Championships in summer.
Many Pony Club branches run additional events throughout the year, from mini to higher levels. Look at Area 9 website, branch websites and our local competitions pages for dates.
