Pony Club Tests explained

Whatever the age or level you join Pony Club at, we will guide you through our training system.

As you reach the next level of knowledge in horse care and ridden skills, the efficiency awards are an acknowledgement of your progress, you take the efficiency tests only if you want to.

We will guide you through the system, no pressure, just practical, useful knowledge to give you the horsemanship skills you need to care for and ride you horse the best you can, whilst making new friends and having some fun along the way.

There is something for Everyone!

The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind – see flow chat for the ages and order in to take the tests.

There are also Progressive awards to in between the badges. These Progressive awards are bitesize stepping stones to encourage continual learning and skill development. They can be completed in preparation for Pony Club Tests.

Bronze 3,2 and 1 in between E and D tests
Silver 3, 2 and 1 in between D and D+ tests
Gold 3, 2 and 1 in between D+ and C tests
