The annual camps are the highlight of the pony club year for our members.
Firstly, we have the Event Camp in spring to prepare for the coming season, where riders have the opportunity to work on the 3 disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross country. For 2027, we are once again at Epworth Equestrian: superb facilities with a full BE XC course, all weather arenas, stabling on site and cafe! This camp is aimed at members 10 years & over, confidently jumping at least 70cm.
Our usual summer camps will be held again at Aylesford Equestrian in 2027, where members will have the opportunity to camp over! Riders will receive 3 full days of instruction in dressage, show jumping, xc, games and much more, alongside lessons in horse and pony care and the opportunity to work towards achievement badges. Riders will be placed in groups of similar ability/age for the duration and there is usually some organised friendly competition and challenges.
For our younger members, we will still have our Mini Camp at Highfield, Metheringham.
Camps are an excellent way of making new friends and trying new things, with a firm emphasis on having fun!
