Area 6 spring festival dressage qualifiers was this weekend and Burton members did really well. For a small club we did brilliantly.
All riders in the top 10 in their sections!!
One members first dressage competition since Spring Festivals in March after horses time out of action and riders injury and they won their class to qualify for the national championships
Another member was doing only their 2nd dressage test together and did amazingly with 67.71 to finish 7th in their section of PC80
The last combination are still new to dressage but growing in confidence and Erin was pleased with her results.

Quiz AREA 6 QUALIFIER
Hosted by Barlow Pony Club.
Brilliant result for our quiz teams at Area quiz today. Our mini team came 3rd out of 12 and our junior/senior came 2nd out of 24. Both teams qualified for the Quiz Championships. Well done Georgia for some brilliant training

Horse & Pony Care AREA 6 QUALIFIER
Hosted at Derby College Broomfield Campus.
Congratulations to our senior Horse & Pony Care team who finished 10th at the Area 6 competition today. Well done Beth, Erin & Georgia.
Georgia was also jointly awarded the outstanding individual commendation.

Dengie National Quiz FINAL
Hosted at Loughborough University.
Well they have finally done it.
Winners of junior/senior quiz National championship 2026.
A fantastic performance by Georgia, Beth, Erin and Elly in beating 35 other teams to become champions. Super proud of them and a huge well done to Georgia for all the training and preparation she has put in for the team.
Beth and Georgia also competed in the senior friendly and Beth’s mixed team came 2nd and Georgia’s mixed team came 4th so again a fantastic result for area 6 pony club.
The minis also competed and showed some brilliant knowledge in their section. Well done Evie, Emily Rose, Pippa and felicity. And they won the fun bingo too!

Mounted Games AREA 6 QUALIFIER
Hosted by Burton pony Club.
A huge well done to our inexperienced senior games team (with 2 juniors) on putting in a sterling performance yesterday. You were sooo supportive of each other and truly were a team! A special Thank You to Pippa for making up the team and I hope you’ve “got the bug” now. Shout out to Isla on her first ever Area comp, we’ll done. Emily Rose, you were such a gutsy rider on your challenging pony and Layla you were the perfect team leader.
Huge congratulations to Nina and Layla for achieving 2nd place in the pairs, missing the trophy by 1 point but qualifying for zones against fierce competition by putting in a brilliant performance. Especially Nina who has been very poorly recently and stepped in at the last minute.
It’s been a pleasure training you all this season you are such a lovely supportive group of kids.
