Test Day

The Pony Club Training structure encourages members to take tests which enables them to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind – see the chart below for the order in which tests are taken.

Tests E to C+

We offer the full range of Pony Club tests from E to B (and above if required) and a wide variety of Achievement badges. Training takes place at Shacks Barn near Silverstone and involves both mounted and dismounted sessions.  B, B+, Lunge Test, AH and A are all organised at Area or National leve

The Pony Club Road Rider Mini-Achievement Badge

To be taken at E to D Level.  It must be passed before the D test can be awarded.

The Pony Club Road Rider Achievement Badge

This can be taken at D+ to C Level.  It must be passed before the C test and involves a minimum of 5 hours training.

Road Rider Test

This is to be taken at C+ to B level.  It must be passed before taking the B test.

Badge training

Badge training runs on alternate Tuesday evenings.  This a good place to learn some of the horse and pony care as well as attaining Achievement Badges, so do come and join us for some fun and hot chocolate!

Efficiency Test Rallies run from Autumn to Spring and are based on the Efficiency Test and Progressive Test Syllabus for each exam. These rallies include riding, horse and pony care and road safety. These will cover all levels.

Further additional training sessions are also run as required for specific exams, so please ask if there is something that you would like to achieve.
