Area Competitions happen all over the country and are qualifying events for the main Pony Club Championships and Regional Championships.

There is a competition held in each of the 19 Pony Club Areas (we are in Area 7) and there are various levels to compete at based on ability and eligibility.

It is possible to qualify both in teams and as individuals in the majority of disciplines.

GUIDE TO HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE PONY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

The process this year will be the same as last year where you enter yourself via an online booking system and the entry will go to the DC for ‘approval’ as she has to confirm that you are eligible and that the member is competing at the appropriate level for their ability.

However to aid the competition organisers we are required to submit details of the number of our members wanting to compete at each discipline and at which level some weeks prior to the entries being made. To enable us to do this, complete this Area Competitions 2024 – Expression of Interest form and return it along with a copy of your horse’s flu vaccination record showing the horse’s name  to area.comps.application@gmail.com or if you prefer, you can post your forms to Helen Elston, 20 Parkside, Madeley, Crewe. CW3 9JR  by 15th May. Please ONLY use this email account for this purpose and do NOT send to any other email address or use this address for other PC matters.

There have been a number of rule changes for 2024 and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are eligible to compete at the level(s) you are applying for. I attach some details (which are not exhaustive) and a full copy of all the rule books can be found on the main PC website or purchased from Amazon.

Please also attach any useful information which will help identify whether your child and their horse/pony is eligible for the level of competition that they are applying for – this is your responsibility as we don’t know what competitions you are doing outside of Pony Club.

JCB Championships will be held 9th – 17th August 2024 at Offchurch Bury in Warwickshire, CV33 9AW What3words: served.overheat.sprouts
