There has been an update from HQ on the type of stirrups that are not allowed to be used in Show Jumping which also applies to all Working Rallies or where show jump style fences may be used. For the avoidance of doubt, at Pony Club events:
▶ Stirrups which connect the boot and the stirrup magnetically are not allowed
▶ Interlocking boot soles and stirrup treads are not allowed
▶ Cage stirrups are not allowed
▶ Composite matrix stirrup treads or similar are not allowed

We have been invited to send teams to an Inter Branch Show Jumping Competition at the Three Counties Show on Sunday 15th June at the Three Counties Show Ground in Malvern. This is a single phase competition for teams at 80cm and 90cm (you must be regularly out competing at these heights to compete). Here is the schedule, if you are interested please let Ann know.

‘Let’s go Racing’ is an initiative which offers a free day out to either Wolverhampton Races (31st July) or Leicester Races on (27th May). This is a chance to go behind the scenes at a racing league fixture. Although this is free, you must book on.

Body Protectors Area 7  has confirmed that up to date body protectors must be worn for all XC and Arena XC jumping. However, if members wish to wear body protectors for rallies/show jumping or other activities that the Pony Club rules do not require body protectors to be worn for, they do not need to be of the latest standard, purple labels will still be allowed.
