We have a very active show jumping squad and welcome all riders, regardless of ability, to train and compete for the club. Competition dates are detailed below and training dates can be found on webcollect.
We participate in team inter-branch competitions from May. Pony Club Show Jumping is generally classified in heights, starting from 30cm upwards If you are interested in taking part in team competitions please come along to some of the Show Jumping training sessions.
A highlight of the Show Jumping calendar is the Area 8 Inter-branch competition which is held in July and is the qualifier for the national annual Pony Club Championships and Grassroots Championships. Jumping levels at Areas are classified as Grass roots (80cm), Novice (90cm), Intermediate (1m) and Open (1.10m). To be selected for Area teams you need to be competing regularly for the club, have a current membership and meet the PC criteria for that height.
Please note that there are specific PC criteria for Area show jumping qualifying classes. Please ensure you do not rule your rider/horse out of a level (novice/intermediate/open) by not doing enough rallies or by jumping outside of the class you wish to be considered for.
