JCB Pony Club Dressage Championship
We had Charlotte, Maddie and Emilia heading to Warwickshire after qualifying for the intermediate dressage. Charlotte and Cali also did the dressage to music class.
First up was Charlotte and Cali in the dressage to music. This was their first attempt at dressage to music and hopefully something they will do again. We thoroughly enjoyed watching their routine with some lovely moments, Cali also added some freestyle moves (a very large speaker blasting out the music took a little while for her to adjust to). For a first attempt it was very impressive and I think lots to look forward to in the future.
On the Thursday was the Intermediate class. All three were on at similar times so we were watching parts of each test. All did lovely tests, Missy a little excitable seeing the xc course! She then went on to post 2nd best dressage in her arena for the eventing the following day.
Cali and Charlotte always looking a harmonious pair did a great test and took the move from novice to intermediate this year in their stride. I was lucky enough to see their novice test last year also and it’s lovely to watch them progress.
Emilia (still only 13!) and her lovely horse Bug (first time on grass and first stay away show) did a fantastic job and were both so calm and together. Very exciting to see their future tests and I hope the Championships was a great first for them both. It’s was 66% day for all the girls.
It really is a wonderful championships, and as a spectator so much to do and so many wonderful ponies to watch (obviously the WKMPC ponies being the best!)
Thank you to all the support from instructors, parents, drivers etc who get us to these competitions
