Regional Championships Results

A huge congratulations to all our members who competed this weekend at the Regional Championships at Rectory Farm, proudly representing West Kent Meopham Pony Club.

The championships got off to a fantastic start with Harlow Wiek, competing in both the Mini and Major classes. Harlow and My Blue Eyed Boy set the bar high, finishing in an impressive 3rd place with a fast double clear out of a strong field of 38 starters. Harlow also achieved 7th place on her second ride, Hillviews Princess Anne. An outstanding set of results—very well done, Harlow!

Next up was the PC80 Dressage Team, made up of Isabel Fry, Dylan Woodward and Millie Steinmann-Gilbert. All three riders produced consistent performances, each scoring an excellent 66%. Team representative Katie Louise Lord praised the riders for their beautifully ridden tests, and they should all be extremely proud of their efforts. Well done to the whole team, and thank you to Katie for her support.

In the PC70 Dressage, William Lord competed as an individual. Riding Freddie, William delivered a lovely test to score an impressive 70% at his first Championships—a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to both William and Freddie.

 Eventing – A Winning Finish

The championships concluded in spectacular style with Millie Steinmann-Gilbert claiming 1st place in the PC80 Eventing. Millie produced a superb performance, posting a 27.4 dressage score, followed by a clear show jumping round and a clear cross-country round inside the time. A wonderful result for Millie and her fantastic horse, Brendonhill Faerie Fortune. Huge congratulations from everyone at West Kent Meopham Pony Club.

Special thanks go to Meg Henderson, who travelled to the championships to support both Millie and Bella Saville. Unfortunately, Bella had to withdraw at the last moment after her pony suffered a bite where the saddle sits. Bella made the responsible decision to put her pony’s welfare first and rest him—well done, Bella. We look forward to seeing you back out competing again very soon. Our eventers are incredibly fortunate to have Meg’s continued guidance and support.

We would also like to thank our dedicated discipline managers:

  • Claire Loveridge (Dressage)

  • Bev Ly (Show Jumping)

  • Meg Henderson (Eventing)

Their ongoing commitment throughout the year plays a vital role in our members’ success.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all the parents, helpers and supporters who make it possible for our riders to attend and compete at these events. Your support is invaluable.

Well done to everyone involved—West Kent Meopham Pony Club should be very proud!
