Area Dressage 2024

The Area Dressage competition was very well attended this year with lots of combinations, old and new joining in.

The intermediates were up first. The three girls all rode beautiful tests and the team finished in 2nd place (actually equal 1st but 2nd on collectives) and qualified for the national championships! The girls had fantastic individual placings too – Emilia won her arena on her lovely new horse (his first time at area), Charlotte finished 3rd (also with a super win in the warm up class) and Maddie finished 4th in her arena (with a 4th in her warm up test too). Amazing girls, well done!

Next up were the PC80 teams. We had two teams – Isabel fry, Dylan Woodward, Nancy Bennett and Holly Jones made up the diamond team and rode their socks off the be placed 6th as a team and gaining their qualification for the regional championships! There were some fantastic individual placings too with Isabel finishing 4th, Nancy 5th, Dylan 7th and Holly 9th.
Our second 80 team, the sapphires, made up of Sophie Alice Hill, Ellie loveridge and Chloe heywood also all rode super tests to finish as a team in 14th place. Sophie Alice finished a wonderful 2nd place individually so qualified for the regional championships!
Due to one of the diamond team members not being able to come to the championships, Sophie Alice will join the other 3 team members and we will have a strong team of 4 to take forward.

Last but not least was our smallest riders of the day, the PC70 teams. The Rubies team, Sienna brungies, Olivia matarazzo, Freya bush and Poppy moggridge and the emeralds team, Isabella Rozmarie, Isabelle Loveridge, Dolly Howard and Lara Owen all did fantastically well and each and every one rode lovely, sweet tests in such tough competition. The teams finished 11th and 12th respectively and although sadly missed out on qualifying, all learnt so much and generally had a great time.
There were some fab individual placings – Sienna was 4th and qualified for the regional championships, whoop whoop! Freya was 9th, Isabelle was 9th and Dolly was 8th. Freya, Isabelle and Dolly all also qualified for the regionals (which is fabulous!) but have decided to not go along and instead work towards a team qualification next year.

Every rider was awesome and the team spirit among the children was commendable.

We are very proud of each and every one. Thank you all!
