Junior and Senior Camp 2024

We had a fantastic week at Junior and Senior Camp. We had 15 juniors and 16 seniors who spent the week riding and learning how to look after their ponies, with two ridden lessons a day and two stable management sessions.  Our six instructors were brilliant and they varied the lessons to include flatwork, pole work, show jumping, cross country and hacking. 

A big thank you to Kay, Sam, Sonia, Julia, Laura and Becky for such good lessons.  We had Helen, a vet from Bell Equine come and help us learn about first aid as this was one of the badges we were working towards. We also did the Grooming and Intro to Eventing badges.  In addition to all the learning there was lots of fun including an Olympic themed games night. 

On the last day everyone did clear round show jumping in the morning and there were some super rounds.  In the afternoon each ride performed their musical ride to all the parents showing off their flat work and team work skills.  Prize giving was a lovely celebration of the week and congratulations to Dolly Howard for best  junior, Bethany Marshall for best senior camper  and Isabel Fry for camper of the year.   The sun shone all week and lots of wonderful memories were made.  Huge thanks to the Dinnis family for hosting us.
